Gina Moppett

She/Her

I’m a qualified, trauma informed, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and an accredited registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I am from Kenya, a member of the BIPoC and BAME communities and a part of the African diaspora community here in the UK. My therapeutic support serves as a welcoming space to people from all walks of life! I support individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, grief, bereavement, trauma and abuse. My work also supports those experiencing eco-related distress or feelings of overwhelm due to the climate and ecological crisis. I aim to help those who have been directly or indirectly affected by the crisis or are committed to climate activism including people from minority and under-represented backgrounds. I also offer counselling support to people from the BAME, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities and work with a psychologically informed understanding of intersectionality and the challenges that come from oppression and generational trauma. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and allow you to reach a place of self-understanding and healing, to break generational cycles and build resilience.

Practitioners on the CPA Therapeutic Support Directory offer up to three free sessions to anyone aged 18 or over experiencing eco-related distress. CPA is not a counselling service and is not financially involved with individual practitioners. We simply connect people seeking support with climate-aware professionals.
