This chapter argues that it is the loss of our embodied relationship to ourselves and our world that results in our failure to grasp the reality of what is happening to our natural environment. It calls for a phenomenological approach to psychological exploration and a return to embodied knowing, arguing that all psychotherapy should be body-oriented in a time of environmental breakdown, and discusses the training needs of future environment-aware therapists.
