I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience in offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness based therapies to support adults experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, stress, low mood, sleep problems and illness. I am also a researcher, investigating how we can understand and respond to the psychological burdens of climate change and ecological degradation. I have completed some training in eco-therapy and climate cafés. I have provided Therapeutic Support sessions for the CPA since 2022, and have some some experience of offering longer-term support for people who are experiencing issues such as eco-distress, eco-anxiety and eco-grief.

I regard experiences like eco-distress to be an important indicator of our humanity and a clear sign of our care for the world. These feelings are an essential part of ourselves, and having a space to express and understand them is an important step on the journey of learning to live well in these difficult times.
