Janet Daniel

I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor and family mediator, working in a variety of settings over 25 years. I was on this register since it started and had several activist clients, but removed myself for six months in 2023 as I took time out to travel and reassess my life's purpose and meaning in later life.

I became seriously concerned about climate chaos in 2009 and attended several workshops with Sue Weaver. My husband and I put on a joint travelling exhibition of writing and art work reflecting our concerns. I am a member of Friends of the Earth and Extinction Rebellion and have attended many demonstrations over the years. However, I do not want to go to prison but honour those people, particularly young people who put their futures on the line for the rest of us and our grandchildren. I feel the best role I can offer is in supporting them.
