This is an exciting and rare opportunity to gain the Climate Aware Practitioner qualification developed and offered by Psychology for a Safe Climate. 

CPA have commissioned PSC especially to offer this series of online training webinars at times which are viable for people situated in Europe. 

The training will be relevant to anyone working in the therapy room with people who are distressed about the reality and impact of the climate crisis.

The Offering 

Completion of all three training webinars will enable practitioners to be recognised by CPA and PSC as “Climate Aware Practitioners” and upon completion will entitle participants to 8 CPD hours.

The Details 

PD1: Engaging with climate change and eco-distress 

This is a two hour introductory webinar and takes place online on Saturday 15 April 2023, UK time 9am - 11am.

PD2: Reflections and responses to the climate reality 

This is a three hour experiential webinar and takes place online on Saturday 6 May 2023, UK time 8am - 11am .

PD3: Being present with climate distress – Applications to professional practice 

This is a three hour professional practice webinar and takes place on Saturday 20 May 2023, UK time 8am - 11am.

Cost 

Please consider paying at the standard rate of £250 - your generosity is vital in supporting CPA to offer subsidised tickets of £150 to those who need them. The bursary spaces which were available have now been filled. More may be released if a sufficient number of standard rate tickets sell.

Please also bear in mind that the cost reflects that this in an interactive training and that PD2 and PD3 are significantly resource intensive, as they will be partly facilitated by trained facilitators in break out rooms.
