2026 AGM and joining CPA’s Board of Directors

Our 2026 AGM will take place on Saturday 6 June 2026 from 12pm-1pm BST as part of our Members’ Day at Vauxhill City Farm in London - you can find the full notice and details at the end of this post.

Board elections will take place as part of the AGM - applications are open now.

Welcoming diverse voices on the board across age, race and ethnicity, gender, disability is particularly important, so we are particularly keen to encourage members from global majority backgrounds, young members, LGBTQ+ members and disabled members to put themselves forward.

In CPA, the members elect the Board and the Board then elects the Chair and other designated roles. Rebecca Nestor is offering to continue as Co-Chair. Kate Adams is stepping down as Co-Chair but will remain on the board. Gillian Broad has put herself forward to stand as Co-Chair alongside Rebecca, which the Board will decide on at June’s board meeting following the AGM. Steve Marshall is willing to continue as Treasurer, with the hope that someone will share that work as Co-Treasurer. I am offering to continue as Secretary. We currently do not have a Membership Secretary, and we would like to have a member of the Board with responsibility for research and scholarship, and links with the Explorations team. So the Board will be looking to elect:

  • one person to share the Treasurer role with Steve
  • one or more people to share the role of Membership Secretary
  • one or more people to hold the role of research lead
  • one or more people to hold the EDI role

We are therefore keen to attract members with skills and experience in governance, in working with finances, in creative approaches to strengthening community and participation, and in research.

If you are curious about any of these roles or being on the board in general, please do get in touch with me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Do consider standing to be part of the Board of Directors. It’s a great opportunity to find companionship in your work on climate psychology, share in supporting CPA’s important work, and/or create resilience in CPA through spreading the responsibilities among a larger number of members. The deadline for nominations is 21 May (by 5pm), and you just need to complete this simple Google Form to nominate yourself. The first board meeting after the AGM will be 1-3pm on Thursday 18 June.

There are always opportunities to get involved and contribute to CPA’s work in other ways, including support for young people, therapeutic support, relations with other climate psychology groups, fund-raising, and research and dissemination.
