2016 conference 'Heartlands'

With 'Heartlands' we aim to move beyond egoic and abstract claims to knowledge, to the longer histories of how people and cultures sprout from the land. Since our internal landscapes reflect our relationships with the environment, our theme speaks to a sensuous and participatory knowing, engaging 'my nature’, ‘my soulscape', and 'my body the earth'.
'Heartlands' then is an opportunity to share in diverse and poignant land-stories, tend the graves of our ecological ancestors and return to our roots.

It is also a call for a vital conversation about how we ensure the gathering remains connected to the earth and the interrelationships that sustain it. Currently the gathering is not organised ecologically, but as a product to be consumed. Our opportunity then is to renew our gathering with good heart as the precursor to an emerging paradigm.

Keynote speakers:

Hilary Prentice

Colin Campbell
